About our new story...

Don’t forget about the book drawing (see yesterday’s post for details). I’ll draw 3 names from readers who comment here, and announce them on Tuesday.

Our new story, beginning on Monday, is titled Dead as a Girdle (DAAG for short). I know what you’re thinking: “What kind of title is that?” This book has a mystery in it, as well as a romance, and it’s a really fun story that takes place at a bra and girdle company (for goodness’ sakes!)

Here’s a summary:
Janelle Weaver, who wishes she could become a Private Eye like her dad, is jobless. But her dad refuses to let her work with him in his detective company since the work would be too dangerous, although Janelle disagrees. There’s an opening as a receptionist at Thorne’s Bra and Girdle Company, and her dad thinks it’s the perfect job for a woman! Reluctantly Janelle takes it, and our story begins with her first day.
It’s totally embarrassing to answer the phone with, “Thorne’s Bra and Girdle Company. May I help you?” But when Janelle discovers that the former receptionist quit because the head CEO was murdered …well, now she can solve the murder and prove her sleuthing skills to her dad once and for all. Add in the mix a handsome but distracted boss, a strange Swedish accountant who is glad the CEO is dead, and an even stranger Advertising Exec who keeps photos of his cat on his desk.
By the end of the story, Janelle finds out her dad is right—being a detective is dangerous. But the rewards are great!

Please join us on Monday for Chapter One!
Until then, God bless! Have a wonderful weekend.
